Compliance is not a one-off project but part of how a company is run. We build systems that work in the day-to-day business — with clear rules, responsible persons and documents that stand up to inspection.
We identify which regulatory requirements apply to the client’s business and where the gaps are — in contracts, in internal policies, in relations with employees, customers and suppliers. We draft internal rules, policies and procedures, allocate responsibilities and train the teams who will apply them.
Our experience on a board of directors includes building and operating systems of internal control, compliance and ethical standards, managing risk and overseeing adherence to internal rules and policies. That is why we approach compliance from a management perspective: which risks call for a decision at board level and which at process level, and how they should be reported.
We work with companies in trade in goods, transport and logistics, where regulatory requirements affect day-to-day operations. We also advise on whistleblowing requirements, and treat data protection as a practice area in its own right. When a regulator inspects, we represent the company and challenge any penalties imposed.
